Nokia N73 - Bag the Goodies

The frantic pace at which technology is advancing in the present times makes us loose ourselves in the crowd of an ever increasing list of time saving and utility enriched gizmos. We, on our part have been doing the best to absorb our fill with the emerging technology. Out of this huge lot, mobile phones are perhaps the most essential gadgets in our lives, and phone manufacturers have their hands full with the task of moving ahead in tandem with the emerging technology. With the way our professional and personal lives take us on a steep sleigh ride, we hardly get a breather to juggle the two worlds. During such times, mobile phones are our constant source of sustenance in staying connected with the rest of the world and being entertained as well. With this view in mind, Nokia has released another member to the legendary N series family. The Nokia N73 is a utility enriched phone that does more than provide the customary communication platform. It is 3G monoblock mobile phone featuring a 3.2 megapixel camera with a Carl Zeiss optics Tessar lens, 20 x digital zoom, flash, and autofocus, and a video recorder with 2 x digital zoom. Enhanced features like red eye reduction, scene settings, white balance, colour tone, and brightness control provide an added boost to the phone's amazing photography prowess. The Quad Band phone has a rip roaring music player supporting MP3, AAC, Enhanced AAC, Enhanced AAC+, and WMA formats that is the main essence of the phone's fellow music oriented compatriot – the Nokia N73 music edition. The phone works on a Symbian operating system with S60 software, and is bundled up with smart tools like Nokia PC Suite, Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition, and Nokia XpressPrint Printing Solution. Connectivity channels like Bluetooth, USB 2.0, Pop Port, infra red, and HTML and XHTML browsers are the other attractive features of the phone.

Nokia E65

Nokia E65 is a part of expansion of Nokia's business oriented E-series. Thus, not much hard work went into the designing of its exteriors. Instead, the mobile was styled in such a way so that it can aptly attract the higher class, namely - the modern as well as remotely connected business executives. Nokia E65 comes with a slider front fascia and soft leather covering, exuding a neat sophisticated look. It weighs mere 115 grams and measures 105 x 49 x 15.5mm in dimension. So, it will come through as a sleek compact handset that can be easily slipped inside the jacket pockets. In an attempt to make lives easier for the business executives, Nokia E65 - the 3G smart phone, features many shortcut keys on its front fascia.
These keys includes conference call and a very handy "My Own" key. Through the latter key the users can get immediate access to their favourite application. Nokia E65 features a solid 6 hours of talk time and offers an incredible 11 days of standby time. Thus, it makes a perfect companion for the professionals always on run, and for the ones who's forgotten the charger. Besides the usual infrared and Blue tooth, Nokia E65 is also empowered with other executive features. The Push to talk features allows the users to lead the conversation as in the walkie talkie. This facilitates quicker meetings, faster decision makings and improved business productivity. The VPN, WLAN wizard and EDGE data tool all ensure sound connectivity.
The integrated web browser of Nokia E65 is also quite impressive. The pages download relatively fast, jumping from site to site. The web browser also comes with subscription for news, feedbacks and weblogs. For little diversions from the business oriented features, Nokia E65 comes with media player, 2 Mega pixels camera and instant messaging. But expecting much of imaging experience from Nokia E65 would be a little disappointing. Despite the screen offering 16 million colour display, all pictures have a grainy grey quality in them. Further, there are no options for video capturing and picture editing. Overall, it seems that if someone is on a look for a sophisticated looking phone that can cater to the basic professional requirements - like connectivity and network, Nokia E65 seems to be a good option. However, if one wants to mix entertainment with work, Nokia E65 would not really make one drool over it.

A Powered Choice: Nokia N95 or N93?
Generally, all of us would like to have options to exercise our right to choice. This holds true in almost all the spheres of human life and seldom meets an exception. But exceptions prove a rule and one runs into a few of them, though it happens rarely. Allow me the liberty of citing one of them. Given an option to choose from Nokia N95 and Nokia N93, which one would you choose? Now, this pushes us closer than ever towards the fascinating world of high-end mobile phones. To compare Nokia N95 and Nokia N 93, one needs to take a close look as an amateur approach would not do justice to the nature of job we are up to. Beyond doubt, both handsets excel in technical specifications and are among the latest handsets available in the market. N93 has already embarked on the scene whereas N95 is perhaps the most anticipated handsets ever, announced in September 2006 and set to land somewhere in first quarter of the following year.Let us bring more clarity in our discussion and what would be a better way of doing so than to compare what these two phones have been integrated with. It should not be difficult to make out that Nokia N95 has an edge over N93 in almost every sphere of mobile telephony. Although, it should be fair to say that N95 marginally nudges ahead as compared to N93, neither by a whopping distance nor by a whisker! The very apparent improvement which N95 brings is in its bulk. Compared to 180g of N93, it weighs a meager 120 g and successfully incorporates all the upgrades. Let us move on to the topic of contention, which one consists of a better camera! For Nokia N95 comes with a 5 Megapixels camera with Carl Zeiss optics and video recording at 30 fps. Although, Nokia N93 consists of a 3.2 Megapixels camera with Carl Zeiss optics and video recording at 30 fps, the quality of lens is boosted by the presence of up to 3x optical zoom, a rare feature amongst all the handsets available in market. Data transfers witnesses N95 having a comprehensive edge over N93. It reasons back to the fact that the former brings in 3.5G technology as compared to 3G technology of the later.Another addendum in N95 is 3.5 mm audio output jack which lets you plug-in the headset of your choice. Talktime of 6.5 hrs that N95 offers is also more than what N93 has to offer (5 hrs). These features confirm that Nokia N95 is an upgrade, but at the same time one can not take the sheen off Nokia N93. Amidst all the hi-tech specifications, one wonders how often we use these!
