Nokia 7380 – a Toast for the Fashion Elite

One of the three phones under the L'Armour collection, the Nokia 7380, poses as a real stunner in the fashion market. The phone is designed to bring out the contrast between the various cultural and ethnic influence. Thus, non conventional materials ranging from amber, ceramic, turquoise, silk to enamel are used to give distinct look to Nokia 7380. Besides, craft techniques such as etching and enamelling were used to add a touch of creativity to the set."Every detail of these products, from the nature-inspired graphics to the velvet-lined pouches, has been carefully considered with the style-conscious individual in mind," said Alastair Curtis, vice president of Design at Nokia's Mobile Phones division, in a press release. He believes "consumers who appreciate design and attention to detail will fall in love with the L'Amour Collection".Shaped along the lines of a lipstick tube, the Nokia 7380 is compact, sleek and looks like an ipod at first glance. There is no full fledged keypad as found in the conventional mobiles, instead Nokia 7380 is empowered with a ipod-esque scroll wheel. The scroll wheel is great so far navigation through 40 menu segments is concerned, but it poses a problem when one wants to message. Nokia 7380 tries to mitigate the problem, with its integrated word guesser. The camera is upgraded to 2 Megapixels, with a leather back cover. Besides, there is a user interface and 52MB of onboard memory to hold quite a decent number of pictures. Just that a larger screen would have added more fun to the imaging experience.
