Nokia 6233 – 3G Power Gets Better

There were those boring days when 3G mobile phones were no smaller than bricks, and getting smooth coverage was a far fetched idea. But in the rapid moving market of mobile phones, the scenario is much improved now. And taking advantage of this factor, Nokia launched its Nokia 6233 - smallest third-generation mobile handsets to date. When describing the handset, Nokia said that the mobile was design as complementing the corporate lifestyle. But given the nice set of multimedia features, the Nokia 6233 can easily be adapted to personal use as well. The Nokia 6233 has a sleek, sophisticated and refined feel to it. Wrapped in a high-quality stainless steel finish and a soft-matte backing, the handset sure deviates from the conventional. Weighing 110 g it sure is a little heavier, but with a 3G capability included, it sure makes a sense. But perhaps what does not make sense, is the lack of video calling. Sure Nokia 6233 could have made itself more popular with the addition of video calling. Other features of Nokia 6233 includes a 2-megapixel camera with 8x digital zoom. It can also shoot videos, and edit and share them. The screen display is good enough, while it also acts as a perfect viewfinder. For more entertainment, the Nokia 6233 has a good music player, a FM radio, plethora of wallpapers and screensavers, and games. The phone has Bluetooth and infrared connectivity. It also includes Tri-band network, WAP, GPRS and EDGE. Further, the Nokia 6233 supports microSD cards up to 2GB and a 64MB card comes in the box, so it facilitates easy storage. Another noteworthy feature of Nokia 6233 is flight mode. Through which one can get access to Java applications, games, and other non-call related features while traveling on a plane. For personal management, the phone comes with clock, organizers etc. The phone offers 4 hours of talk time, and has 340 hours of stand by. Overall the Nokia 6233 is a decent phone, performing most of the functions satisfactorily. A highly recommended phone for the price in which it is offered.
